Short Bio


Sabina U. Nies is originally from Berlin, Germany. She incorporates her skills as a bookbinder, artist and printer to create exquisit custom-made albums, boxes, books and design bindings. Sabina graduated from the prestigious American Academy for Bookbinding, CO in 2005, where she studied with master binder Tini Miura. She entertains her own bindery "SUN Book Arts" since 1997 and lives now in Ashland, OR.


Her design bookbinding for the “Pendleton at 100” won the first prize and was bought for the Native American Research Museum in Pendleton, OR
